write with passion

I live in Central NY, not far from where I was born and raised. While in school, I developed a love for writing and was involved with school newspapers and yearbooks, along with taking as many English and writing classes as I could fit in my schedule. Upon graduation, I attended the Newhouse School of Public Communication on a scholarship, but soon realized my love for music and teaching was greater than my desire to be a journalist. So, I changed my major to Music Education and transferred to SUNY Potsdam to attend the Crane School of Music. After graduation, I married my high school sweetheart, and best friend, and we began our family. We were blessed with two wonderful children, a daughter and a son, whom we home schooled through high school and brought them up in the Lord. I was blessed with the opportunity to use my education when I began the first home school concert band in New York State. The band was under my direction for seven years, until both of our children were attending Harding University.
My life then came full circle. Though I had never planned on it, God called me to teaching Ladies’ Bible studies and back to writing. I have had articles published in Christian Woman magazine and have written some of my own Bible studies. Looking back, I can see God’s hand in preparing me for this season of life. He continues to be full of surprises. I was amazed to find God calling me to do some speaking for Him. I answered that call and have spoken at statewide retreats, a retreat in Conway, Arkansas, was the keynote speaker at a Women of Hope conference in Ohio through Healing Hands International, and most recently, spoke at a Ladies Day in Oswego, NY. I love to speak about living passionately for Christ, among other topics. I teach a weekly Ladies’ Bible study and continue to step through any doors the Lord opens for me. I recently completed my first book which will be released on August 5th by 21st Century Christian Publishing, and am working on a second book. I look forward to sharing God’s word whenever I am asked and am constantly in awe of God and what He is doing in my life.
